For Fine Art School Portraits

Lakeview Montessori / Spring 2024

Class Photos & Fine Art Portrait Make-up Days

Wed and Thurs, May 1st-2nd

  • If your child was photographed in the fall, they will NOT have individual portraits taken again. In the spring, only newly enrolled students or those who were absent for fall portrait days can sign up for individual portraits.

  • Each class will have group pictures taken. Even if your child is not photographed individually, be on the lookout for their class picture - a wonderful keepsake to remember friends and teachers!

Welcome Students and Families!

As the owner of Stephanie George Photography, I am excited and honored to work with your school again to provide class pictures and fine art school portraits.

I strive to provide a custom and boutique experience for parents and staff, starting with answering all your portrait day questions…

find out:

  1. What makes fine art school portraits different?

  2. What should my child wear?

  3. Will we receive more than one image?

  4. When will photos be ready for viewing/ordering?

  5. Does Stephanie George offer family photo sessions?

What makes fine art school portraits different?

  • I take the time to talk to each child and draw out what makes them unique.

  • My goal is to capture a gallery of authentic expressions and emotions, no forced smiles as expected with typical school photos. See my favorite poses.

  • More natural and artistic images of your child pull at the heartstrings and stand out as cherished keepsakes on the walls of your home.

What should my child wear?

Keep it simple! Portraits are generally from the chest up.

  • Solids, textures, layers, and small prints (add interest without distracting from the main subject - your child).

  • Colors that flatter their skin tones or match/compliment their eyes.

  • Skip distracting logos or slogans. Classic is best!

  • Avoid solid black which can blend into the dark background.

Most importantly, don't stress! The main focus and what’s really going to shine is your child's personality.

Will we receive more than one image to choose from?

Each student gets an individual gallery (with a min. of five images to choose from in both color and b/w). The number of images will vary depending on how comfortable and expressive your child is in front of the camera.

Can’t decide on just one portrait? Don’t worry, full digital galleries are available for purchase and immediate download.

When will our photos be ready for viewing/ordering?

Within 2-3 weeks of portrait days you will receive a link to an online viewing gallery from your school. You can then select your favorite poses and order print packages, a la carte prints, canvases, and digital files.

Approx. 2 weeks after ordering has closed, print products will be delivered to your school.

“Oh my goodness, I can’t even describe how much we love these photos and how much they mean to us. They literally brought tears to my husband’s eyes.”
