Families | $850
Outdoor session for immediate family members held one hour after sunrise or before sunset. Includes a minimum of 65 high resolution digital images downloadable from an online viewing gallery. 50% deposit due at time of booking. A la carte print products available.
Seniors | $850
One hour outdoor session with three outfit changes. Includes 50+ high resolution digital files and light retouching to highlight your natural beauty. Hair + makeup can be arranged for an additional fee. A la carte print products available.
In-Home Newborn | $850
One hour session held in the comfort of your own home, typically within a month of baby’s birth. Includes a min. of 65 high resolution digital images downloadable from an online viewing gallery. 50% deposit due at the time of booking. A la carte print products available.
Maternity + Newborn Package | $1250
Includes 30 minute maternity session focusing primarily on the expectant mother and the anticipation of your new arrival. Maternity sessions are a great way to meet the photographer, build a relationship and comfort level before baby arrives, and capture the love, hope, and joy leading up to baby’s birth.
Better Than School Portraits
Indiv. $199 | Siblings $399
Offered on select dates (Spring & Fall). Better Than School Portrait (BTSP) sessions are held in my garage studio for children of all ages. Individuals receive a min of 10 digital images in both color and b/w. Siblings receive the above, plus a min of 10 portraits photographed together. An annual tradition you don’t want to miss!
FAQ
When do family sessions take place?
Outdoor family sessions are held an hour after sunrise or before sunset, taking advantage of soft, natural light and creating a warm glow that flatters skin tones.
Do I get the digitals from my session?
Yes! High resolution digitals files can be downloaded directly from your viewing gallery. Sessions include 65+ images and you shouldn’t have to choose favorites. Your family’s story + experience is yours to keep!
Can I print my photos anywhere?
Since your session includes the digitals, yes, you can have them printed wherever you like. However, I cannot guarantee the print quality of consumer labs (often colors are oversaturated). If you would like to order prints and products from me, you can do so straight from your viewing gallery. I use high-end, professional labs which pride themselves in accurate detail, proper color/saturation, and archival quality.
Will we reschedule if it rains?
Don’t worry, I watch weather apps like a hawk. Let’s be honest, no one (except Rachel McAdams) looks good with frizzy, wet hair. However, PNW weather can be fickle... It will rain all day, and then, inevitably, after we cancel your session, the most beautiful sunset will break through, gah! So, if it is raining the day of your session, I will touch base about 2.5 hours before go-time to let you know if we should proceed or reschedule.
What if my children won’t Look & smile for the camera?
I know you want happy photos of your children smiling their best Disneyland smile, however, kids often have a mind of their own when it comes to photo sessions. The harder you (their parent) try to get them to smile and sit still, the more they are going to fuss and try to run for the hills. That’s why I go into every session with prompts in-hand and games in-mind.
We can all take a lesson from my son who has explained to me on many occasions that he can’t smile unless he is actually happy! So my goal is not to force children to sit in stiff poses or smile perfectly at the camera, instead I aim to capture love, connection, and authentic emotions. Your part is to be fully present with your child, relax, and have fun! Kids always follow our lead.
Do you offer mini sessions?
The short answer is - No. There are many photographers out there who offer mini sessions. Usually minis are theme-oriented (cute sets and props), last 15 mins or less, and are scheduled back to back on particular dates. To be completely honest, that sounds like a whole lot of stress for both myself and, more importantly, for the families I work with.
I understand you just need “a few pictures”, but my sessions are designed to offer you time to settle in, relax in front of the camera, and give you a variety of backgrounds and poses (a term I use loosely, because my goal is for you to look natural and authentic rather than posed).
Sessions with me capture many facets of your family; various depictions of the whole family as a unit, of course, but also your son’s relationship with his father, your children’s relationship with each other, and your relationship with your spouse… where the love began in the first place. Each family’s dynamic is different (and all families are welcome); I want to capture your stories + connections. Your family deserves the gift of time to capture all the nuances.
